USASA National Championships Arrival

Today I arrived at Copper Mtn Colorado for the USASA National Championships. Typically this event is one of the largest snowboard competitions in the world, with 5 consecutive days of competition with 5 disiplines of competion going on each day. Competitors ranging from grooms to aspiring Olympians to 70 year olds?

The time I was here a few years ago I won the GS and SL over 40 National Titles, with the first time I attended was back in 1995(?) in Mt Snow with a 3rd place in the GS. Needless to say that this event has a long history in my life. This year I'm here as a for hire wax and service technician. Bringing world cup level service to riders of all ages.

Already it's been great to see familiar faces, and walking into the village kind of feels like a home away from home of sorts.

Here's to a week of racing, making boards fast, and making lasting memories with old friends.
